He's a playboy rodeo cowboy, my brother's best friend, and the man I hate. But now he's my problem. When my brother tells me that Nathan Booth is coming to Star Mountain Horse Rescue to do community service for throwing punches in a bar fight, I immediately see red. Nathan causes trouble and breaks hearts wherever he goes, and he's the last man I want around my barn. He's also got the face of an angel and the swagger that says he knows it. He thinks I'm a hissing viper with a savior complex, so at least he hates me as much as I hate him. But ever since my grandparents passed away two years ago, the rescue has been scraping by, and I can't turn down the deal Nathan offers me: I'll teach him everything I know about training rescued horses and he'll help me fundraise for the barn on social media. But as our lessons heat up, and I watch him work with our horses with gentleness and skill, I start to wonder if there's more to this playboy than meets the eye...I'm determined to keep things casual. Nathan's time at Star Mountain has an expiration date, and I've lost too many people already. But then my brother's best friend goes from hating me, to falling for me.
