Riverdale Road Volume 2 is the last book in the series, and I really enjoyed it. The main focus is still on the main character, Zhang Yuwen, and his love interest, which was my favorite part of the series. At the same time, we also follow the other four characters. They are building relationships, thinking about what to do with their lives, and dealing with everyday struggles. One thing I liked a lot about this series is how mature it is. The characters are in their early twenties-maybe a bit younger or older, but their thoughts, reflections, and relationships felt very mature. There is communication when problems come up, and the friendships they build are really strong. They support each other, which makes the whole series feel cozy and comforting. There were a few small things I didn’t fully like. One or two moments didn’t feel right to me, especially regarding consent. Some scenes felt strange and a bit in a gray zone, which gave me a small “ick.” But it didn’t ruin the story for me. I would definitely like to read more from this author.
