REPUBLIC vs. MONARCHY – How sound is your constitution?

This book has been published to mark the centenary of the King Edward VII British-German Foundation and the König Eduard VII. Britisch-Deutsche Stiftung. It contains thirteen thought-provoking essays on a topic that engages with the very foundations of our political societies in the early 21st century: Republic vs. Monarchy – how sound is your constitution? Ten KE7 bursaries were awarded to writers and thinkers from both Britain and Germany who gave the most impressive answers to this question. The results are presented here in the form of wide-ranging, insightful and inspiring essays. Furthermore, we have invited three outstanding experts on constitutional matters to make honorary contributions to this book.
