4,5 stars What can I say, this book gifted me a new fictional boyfriend: noah riley All the plottwists in this book made me feel so many emotions. It was a rollercoaster, that I can tell you Ari is a strong and confident young woman. College is about to start for her and she can't think of anything better than starting college with all her close friends and her twin brother. The last accident just before the start of college, however, happened close before college at the beach house, which severely affects Aris college time and friendgroup Noah is loving, a good cook, charming and a popular football player. He would do anything for his loved ones and loves endless if he decides to love someone. I can only wish everyone to have a Noah in their life who is selfless and simply the sweetest soul alive. Despite a tough time both characters went through, one thing is for sure. Both belong together. Both are 100% meant for each other and deserve only the best. Period

Es direkt nach 'Say You Swear' zu lesen, war keine gute Idee. Denn es konnte mich gefühlsmäßig nicht so abholen. Es war eine Achterbahnfahrt der Gefühle. Ein Auf und Ab zwischen "Aww...mein Herz, wie süß und herzzerreißend ist das?!" und "Hmm..." Der Schreibstil ist wirklich wieder toll und gefühlvoll und auch meine geliebte Found-Family ist wieder vertreten. Das kam jedoch leider etwas zu kurz für mich. Und auch mehr Nate, Lolli und Parker hätte ich mir gewünscht. Stattdessen gab es hier hauptsächlich nur Payton und Mase und all ihre Sorgen und Probleme. Dann die ganzen Rückblicke. Ich mag so etwas eigentlich immer sehr, aber hier war es für mich zu viel. Hatte dadurch das Gefühl, dass die Geschichte zu langsam vorankommt. Mason hat mit seiner Art mein ganzes Herz berührt...und auch Payton hat sich klasse entwickelt. Hier merkt man wieder, wie erwachsen und verantwortungsvoll die Charaktere in Meagan Brandys Büchern sind, obwohl sie noch so jung sind. Und die Geschichte von Payton ist gewiss keine leichte. Es gab auch kleine Momente von Ari und Noah! Diese waren mein Highlight. Ebenso hat Chase sich wieder in mein Herz geschlichen. Auf sein Buch (Band 4) freue ich mich schon sehr! Ich werde 'Promise Me Not' nächsten Herbst auch noch einmal auf deutsch lesen. Vielleicht ändere ich dann meine Meinung noch einmal.
4.25 ⭐️ Well what a slow burn and yearning from Mason. It was a lot, intense, heartbreaking, heartwarming and so much desperation. Tbh I liked that you were going back and forth in time, maybe it is inconvenient at times but I liked it. And obv this way you learn more about them and (maybe) understand their actions. Although sometimes I was annoyed w Payton but I guess when you go thru a lot of trauma you don’t know how else to cope w things and how to handle things. I really liked it
My son is asleep, still cradled in the carrier strapped to Mason's chest. Mason's lips are settled at his hairline, resting there adoringly, his palm pressed to the curve of his bottom as he states silently out at the pinks and blues in the distance.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°• Persönliche Songempfehlung: The Oh Hellos - Hello my old heart The National - I need my Girl Milky Chance - Naked and Alive Sombr - we never dated Ach Mason, er verdient, wie auch Noah zuvor, die Welt. Dieser Mann gibt alles was er hat für eine Frau, die ihrer ersten Liebe nachtrauert und einem Kind, bei dem sie erst nicht will, dass er eine zu enge Bindung aufbaut. Es fällt ziemlich schnell auf, wie gut Mason sie kennt, da er sie praktisch immer im Auge hat. Er weiß, was sie braucht, bevor sie es selbst realisiert und wenn ich ehrlich bin, dann ist das Mädchen im denken echt langsam. Sie bricht ihm das Herz, mehrfach. Dennoch bleibt er bei ihr, weil er sie nicht allein lassen will mit all den Sachen. Und sie braucht Cameron, damit sie ihr sagen kann, dass Mason mehr empfindet als er zugibt und sie ihm das Herz gebrochen hat. Die Rückblenden waren auch sehr schön. Wir kriegen Einblicke in die Zeit, als sich zwischen den beiden ein Band geformt hat. Wir kriegen die Geburt von Deaton mit und beobachten, wie Außenstehende Mason als Vater des Kleinen behandeln. Er selbst sieht sich so, gibt es aber nicht zu. Auch, wenn es ist seinem Verhalten offensichtlich ist. Aber er hält sich zurück. Immer wegen Payton. Umso schöner waren aber die letzten 10% des Buches. Herzschmerz und making-outs. Ich hab's geliebt!
4,75 ✨⭐️ I love it!!! 😍😍 At first I was scared to read it, (because nothing could ever top Noah and Ari 🥹😍), but it was good. But not as amazing as Noah and Ari, but it was heading the right direction. 🤭 You really get to see how both Mason and Payton grew individually but also together, and how much they have for each other. 🥹 I’m not gonna lie that I was mad 3/4 of the book, but I get why they had to go through this & that to get to this exact moment. And amen, they did! It was worth it at the end 😭❤️🩹
Let me preface this by saying I absolutely HATE love triangles with all my might. But this… this is my only exception (and yes I did just hear Paramore in my head because my brain is also a jukebox). It’s five a.m. and I just finished this and I’m feeling ALL the feelings. I cried (a lot) because damn this book made me ache. But in the best ways. My heart feels like it’s bursting. I loved this story, even the things I didn’t like (like the love triangle or to be honest just a certain character in general) couldn’t take away from the amount of feelings this made me feel. And that’s ultimately why I read, to feel.
