Soooo… is everyone just here ignoring how dodgy this book is with consent? Or do we willfully ignore it because it‘s the female being non consensual, not the man? The MMC voices SEVERAL times that he doesn‘t want sexual things with the FMC. Every single time, she pushes back, tells him she knows he wants her, touches him. Yes, it‘s heavily implied he does want her, but holds himself back because of the age gap. It‘s the year 2025 and I apparently still have to explain that a resounding „No“ means just that - the background, the implications, the feelings: Non of that matter. He said no. She ignored his no. I’ve loved every Ali Hazelwood book I‘ve read, but this was just not it. Put a goddamn trigger warning first, ffs.
