Das hatte ich mir anders vorgestellt
Der Klappentext hört sich ja mal richtig interessant an. Wer ist nicht ein Freund davon, dass SIE gerade heiraten will und in dem Moment taucht ihr vor zwölf Jahren einfach abgetauchter bester Freund auf und sie fragt sich, ob sie die richtige Entscheidung trifft nun ihren langjährigen Freund zu heiraten. Diese ganzen Second Chance Romane sind sowas von meins und dennoch bin ich nicht glücklich mit dem Buch. Normalerweise habe ich große Sympathien mit der Protagonistin in dieser Situation, weil sie die Wahl hat, der Traum einer jeden 16 jährigen - das zwei Typen um dich buhlen und und und… Hier kommt aber mal so gar keine Begeisterung bei mir auf. Ich finde sowohl die Beziehung zwischen Nora und Robyn als auch die zwischen Nora und Bren so gut wie überhaupt nicht fesselnd, daher fiebere ich auch nicht mit und als ich dann denke ich hab verstanden, in welche Richtung die Geschichte geht, dreht sie sich doch noch mal, aber nicht so, dass es mich jetzt doch einnimmt. Der Schreibstil war auch nicht wirklich meins, sehr viele lange verschachtelte Sätze und oftmals wechseln die Erzählperspektiven und gerade am Anfang war es gar nicht so easy da so durchzusteigen. Dazu ein völlig überrumpelnder Twist am Ende, den ich nicht gebraucht hätte und und der für mich die Geschichte auch nicht runder gemacht hat, daher nur drei Sterne.
