Als ein Crew-Mitglied verschwindet, scheint es, als wolle Jake beenden, was Simon angefangen hat: allen zu schaden, die Simon hasste, indem er ihre Geheimnisse enthüllt. Und Geheimnisse gibt es in Bayview wie Sand am Meer… ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ein gelungener Abschluss für die Bayview-Reihe! Der Plot hat mich insofern überrascht, dass ich nicht geahnt habe, wer hinter allem steckt. Die Story war solide, mit gutem Bezug zu den beiden Vorgängern. In denen ich die meisten Protagonisten lieben gelernt hatte, leider fand für mein Gefühl im Finale kaum noch Charakterentwicklung statt und einige waren überhaupt nicht mehr relevant, was sehr schade war! Trotzdem sollte man Band 3 lesen, wenn man Band 1&2 mochte 👌🏼

A worthy final for the greatest book series in this genre. Even though ‚One of us is lying‘ cannot be beaten in its prime position, its sequels ‚One of us is next‘ and this one ‚One of us is back‘ can live up to this level. Unusual for many sequels. The plot isn’t far-fetched. Especially in this book the hook of the story is legit and natural. The author‘s storytelling is incredibly detailed and thrilling. I loved the focus on the friendships between the Bayview Crew members, but I wished a greater goodbye to our beloved characters. There’s no grand final scene with all Crew members. The book is restricted to the perspectives of Addy, Nate and Phoebe. In my opinion a good choice as it facilitates keeping everything in mind and does not get confusing. But by this the other characters are neglected and we only get a relatively small glimpse of them. The suspense is kept up, even after the grand reveal. I loved this book. If you enjoyed reading one of her other books I highly recommend reading this one!
