Puh, ich kann kaum in Worte fassen, was ich da grade gelesen (+gehört) habe. Als erstes sollte ich vielleicht erwähnen, dass ich mir nachdem ich die ersten 20 Seiten gelesen hatte, das Hörbuch runtergeladen habe. Die Schreibweise der Autorin ist einzigartig, sie erinnert mich an diese Gedichte, die manchmal auf Tiktok vorgetragen werden. Es lässt sich dadurch etwas komisch lesen, dafür aber umso schöner hören. Der Erzählstil ist chaotisch, hektisch und sehr bildlich - was perfekt zum Inhalt des buches passt. Auch möchte ich eine große Triggerwarnung aussprechen! Das Buch handelt von den Hexenprozessen um 1600 rum. Auch wenn es eine freie Erzählung (kein historisch akkurates Buch!) ist, passieren viele ... nicht so schöne Dinge. Pest, Folter, Vergewaltigung,... Ich würde nicht sagen, dass "now she is witch" ein gutes Buch ist. Es ist triggernd und verstörend, frustrierend und herzzerreißend. Definitiv kein Buch, dass man nach seinem Cover beurteilen sollte.
