Ah, wie cool! Eine Schneewittchen-Geschichte, in der die „böse“ Stiefmutter von einer wiedergeborenen Koreanerin besetzt wird, die eigentlich Schneiderin von Kinderklamotten ist und total auf ihre „neue“ Stieftochter abfährt, weil sie die Niedlichkeit in Person ist. So was ist einfach mega! Bisher liebe ich die Protagonistin, es wurde ein wenig „Des Kaisers neue Kleider“ reingeworfen und die Interaktionen sind super. Es wird spannend, wenn die Beziehung der Heldin und des Königs noch genauer unter die Lupe genommen wird, denn da gibt es ein paar Rätsel, die noch spannend werden könnten. Auch die Zeichnungen sind super, Vollfarbe, und was besonders witzig ist: Die Heldin glaubt immer, sie würde freundlich lächeln, während sie eigentlich ordentlich fies grinst. Ich war sehr gut unterhalten! Werde unbedingt weiterlesen.
Enjoyed this waaaaaay more than I expected. It puts the Maleficent twist on Snow White, having a modern woman be reincarnated as Snow White's stepmom. Vowing to give that cute af girl a loving home, she sets to work undoing everything the og stepmom left behind and putting the rules of the king's castle on its head. I'm guessing there will be a romance coming up (?), but this one is pretty much the inverse of that and I appreciated it SO MUCH. It's just a woman wanting to be a good mom to a child that is caught in aristocratic bullshit with her emotionally constipated father. By the end there it also seems like a little crime solving and court plotting is coming up, so this really does surprisingly much :D CNs for an early death due to diet culture/disordered eating, body image issues are a big theme, coming up alongside questions about beauty and misogyny and their intersections
