Die Geschichte hat sich nicht gezogen sondern kam in genau dem richtigen Tempo zum Finale voran. Alles in allem ist die Trilogie eine gute Fantasy Reihe, die man empfehlen kann. Dennoch kann ich nicht verneinen, dass vieles offentlichtlich und vorraussehbar geschrieben ist. Trotzdem war es eine schöne Leseerfahrung! Ich werde Arcus, Ruby und Kai vermissen. (Auch wenn ich mir immer noch nicht sicher bin ob ich #TeamArcanus oder #TeamKai bin....)
~Read for the Magical Readathon: Orilium - The Novice Path for the character heritage prompt "Earthling" - read a book with elemental magic~ I've read the first two books in 2018 and gave them 5 stars then, although now it would be closer to 4 stars... and this finale was just alright for me. Especially in the beginning and middle part, I was quite bored by the story because there was a lot of planning and worrying about things that never happened. And I just didn't enjoy the whole relationship drama with the two love interest. Let's be honest: it was clear the whole time which guy Ruby will end up choosing. I'm happy I read this book (well, listened to the audiobook actually) and finished this series I used to love so much, but having read many romantic fantasy books, some even with fire/ice magic, since 2018, this series and especially this book are just mediocre for me.
