Schockierende Erzählung aus einem amerikanischen Lazarett auf Grönland. Bestätigt wie irrational Krieg ist und wie der Mensch dadurch verroht. Gleichzeitig wird auch das Leben am Polarkreis geschildert, z.B. die lange Dunkelheit. Nur gegen Ende hat mich der Roman gepackt.
