Die feministischen Aspekte des Buches waren sehr interessamt. Hekla, die in den 60er lieber Autorin wird als die gesellschaftlichen Vorstellungen zu erfüllen. Auch queere Themen wurden abgedeckt. Der schwule Beste Freund, und Hekla, die meines Erachtens nach asexuell ist.
