I liked it. At first I thought it might be a little too dark for me and a few character traits definitely weren’t a turn on. But. I liked the way Lorenzo and Morgan pushed each other and just see how the little twist was unraveled. It was a quick and enjoyable read, perfect for when you don’t have a lot of timer or brain capacity for e.g. a big fantasy world. The second one will arrive in a few weeks :‘) I am excited!
DNF at 43% just a waste of time. it was so boring and the uninteresting plot was too poorly written that after 19% i started skimming the pages. they fucked at 35% and i still can’t figure out why? there was NO chemistry, NO interest. the sex was rather DRY if anything. and let’s forget that five pages before that they were literally in a massacre where she was oh so scared lol. i didn’t get the feeling that i was reading a mafia book. Lorenzo did not. not once. act like a 30 something year old mafia dude. especially while reading his POV i felt like i was reading a college sport romance like WTF DUDE YOU ARE A THIRTY SOMETHING SCARRED MOBSTER ACT LIKE IT. i know there are two types in this world. the dark gloomy broody daddy mf or the funny sarcastic psychopathic. Lorenzo chose the cocky college quarterback. peace out.
