Description

The stunning new thriller from bestselling author Tasha Coryell -- completely original and full of twists.

Alexandra was expecting a nice evening with her fiancé for her birthday. Instead, her best friend is sitting next to her man, and what's worse: They're in love.

To escape her relationship troubles, Alexandra throws herself into her job where she works as a matchmaker for psychopaths-a label that the clients themselves are unaware of-and becomes entangled with two of her most recent clients, both of whom have mysterious pasts that inspire Alexandra to breech work protocol and spend time with them outside of the office.

One of them, Rebecca, becomes a candidate to take on the role of Alexandra's new best friend, while the other, Aidan, claims that he's her soulmate, despite her insistence that her significant other is going to return in time for their scheduled wedding.

When her fiancé goes missing and threatening packages begin arriving at her doorstep, Alexandra has to figure out who is trying to target her and how it relates to her own dark past. Can she trust her instincts as a matchmaker or has she set herself up with her enemy?

Matchmaking for Psychopaths is an unbelievably twisty and gripping read about obsession, filled with Tasha Coryell's signature observational humour and satirical slant. Perfect for fans of Butter.

Fun read in a morbid way

Absolute Leseempfehlung

,,So much fun!“

Alexandra got away from her past live, she has a best friend and a handsome doctor as fiancé as well as a good job with the possibility of a promotion. Too bad that everything got ruined on her birthday when her fiancé and best friend admitted to an affair. She decided to forget about it for a night and spend the time drinking with a handsome man at a bar and partying a little too hard. In all of that she might have confessed a little too much to the stranger she just met. Convinced her fiancé would crawl back to her she decided to focus on her work of matchmaking psychopaths. Only she found a potential new best friend in a client and that stranger who was supposed to be a one night distraction appeared there too. Just as things started getting better with her fiancé, body parts wrapped in bows started arriving at her house. And the main question: who was doing this and how did it go this far

All in all a good read but the end seems a bit rushed and unnecessary to the story. Of course we wanna know who the killer is but it shouldn’t be a second big plot twist that only gets two pages. I thought some of the characters decisions didn’t make sense for the story or just dragged a moment too long but it is a good book to read to pass time, it’s not my favorite but not an actually bad book either. I think I just didn’t always like the writing style on this one.
