Ich bin begeistert
Ich lese sehr gern historische Romane, die eine gute, spannende Geschichte bieten, eingebettet in historische Fakten, die mein Allgemeinwissen festigen und erweitern. Master of War ist, wie der Titel vermuten lässt, sehr kriegslastig, was David Gilman absolut gekonnt umgesetzt hat. Es ist überhaupt nicht eintönig, im Gegenteil, ich fieberte bei jedem Kampf mit. Blackstone ist ein toller authentischer Charakter, dem man nahe genug kommt um ihn immer weiter begleiten zu wollen, aber auch genug Abstand hat, um ihn als authentischen Repräsentanten eines Soldaten zu der Zeit wahrzunehmen. Ich habe direkt mit Band 2 weitergemacht.
