Management Training for Women Microentrepreneurs

The research study contributes to the discussion on microenterprise development at two levels. First, an evaluation methodology was developed which meets the various constraints of evaluating an assistance project in an informal sector environment. The lack of clear concepts, methodologies, standards of success or failure, and indicators hass been cited as one major reason for neglecting evaluation studies in the microenterprise sector. Based on traditional evaluation methodologies a modified methodology has been developed and elaborated. In this context, the study designed a set of relevant, sensitive and practical indicators to measure the impact of the seminars. Second, the empirical research tested the modified evaluation methodology as well as the indicators.
