Vielleicht das beste Buch der Trilogie in meinen Augen. Nicht zu Letzt durch die sagenhafte Entwicklung von Reinmar, dem man die Kämpfe und Niederlagen langsam anmerkt. Immer wieder unterstützt von seinen Freunden und heimlichen Gönnern oder dem klassischen Zufall kämpft er sich seinen Weg durch Schlesien und sämtliche Schlachtfelder. Um am Ende seinen Frieden zu finden. Etwas unerwartet, aber dennoch wohl verdient!
