E. B. White, wurde 1899 in Mount Vernon, New York, geboren. Nach Studien- und Wanderjahren, die ihn bis zum Packeis führten, arbeitete er in den zwanziger Jahren für den ›New Yorker‹, dessen unverkennbaren, zeitlosen Stil er mit Gedichten, Aphorismen und Feuilletons mitprägte. E. B. White starb 1985 in North Brooklin, Maine. Die Verfilmung seiner Kindergeschichte ›Klein Stuart‹ (›Stuart Little‹) war 2000 ein Riesenerfolg.

Better than charlottes web, but it is incomplete.
I love his writing style. It is light hearted and full of interesting ideas and personified animals (which in this case is kind of weird). All those little adventures are fun to read and he goes of on fun tangents that ultimately dont bother with the overall story but add this nice feeling to the book. This book, while on the same level as the trumpet swan, just ends. Margolo is never found. It literally just ends in the middle of Stuarts quest. The little girl chapter is also super weird and stuart is even partially unlikable. Overall though very entertaining.
