3.75 ⭐️ King of Gluttony was a fun and easy read that I genuinely enjoyed, even if it wasn’t my favorite in the Kings of Sin series. Maya and Sebastian had a really entertaining dynamic from the start. They were always competing, trying to outdo each other, and pretending not to get along, which made their forced proximity (working together) and interactions even more enjoyable. Their banter was definitely one of the strongest parts of the book for me. I also appreciated that the story focused a bit more on the relationship and character interactions rather than just constant spice. There’s still chemistry, obviously, but compared to some of Ana Huang’s other books, this one felt a little more balanced, which I personally liked. Although it could’ve been a little more emotional. I can’t really pinpoint or describe it but I kinda missed the fire/emotions. That said, while I had a really good time reading it, it didn’t emotionally hit me the same way some of her other books have. Still, it was entertaining, easy to get through, and had characters I enjoyed following along.

Ich bin ja eigentlich nicht der Fan von Stories in denen sich die Protagonisten Ewigkeiten kennen aber dann auf einmal feststellen, omg ich hatte die ganze Zeit die perfekte Person an der Seite. In King of Gluttony allerdings entwickelt sich die Rivalität aus der Kindheit so schön in etwas bezauberndes & das nicht hupsi auf einmal, sondern von Kindheit über Teenagerzeit ins Erwachsenenleben hinein, bis sie es nicht mehr verstecken können. Beide Protagonisten machen eine schöne Charakterliche Entwicklung durch, sind aber auch allein stehend sehr interessante Persönlichkeiten. & können wir bitte über Sebastians yearning sprechen! This guy had me on my kneeeees, war das unfassbar schön 🥰 Aber auch Maya war so eine tolle Protagonistin, taff, klug, schlau & dazu noch so einfühlsam. Ich hab richtig bei den beiden mitgefiebert & mich sehr von der Story verzaubern lassen. Vielleicht aktuell sogar mein liebster Band der Reihe 💗

Da mag zwar eine dünne Linie zwischen Liebe und Hass sein aber das ist eine Linie die sie niemals überqueren wird mit ihm. Oder doch? Finde es selber heraus. BOOKIES, 😍 The story of Maya and Sebastian is on another level!! At fist the story go with a professional and disciplined way. Maya and Sebastian are both CMO‘s of their families company. The way their families are friends and force them to work together is so funny because Maya didn’t wanna Sebastian (her rival) to work with her. But even though she didn’t have the power to go against her father she and Sebastian managed to get into the best collaboration ever. With extra spice - not to forget 😉😉😉 Maya‘s family is so funny, especially her grandmother, father and her little sister. 🤭 To summarise, the story gives me so much of business live and food/restaurant vibes. A mix of Hindi and French culture and food. The tension and atmosphere between Maya and Sebastian made me emotional and laugh many times, especially laugh. Their relationship is such a perfect combination which is and will be (in the future) memorable to everyone who has read the book. When you haven‘t yet, then you better get it as soon as possible 😉😉😉 XOXO ~ J💋

Auch King of Gluttony hat mich wieder suuper überzeugt! Sebastian ist so ein verdammter Golden Retriever und verdient meiner Meinung nach die Welt. So verdammt süß! Hat mich direkt überzeugt.🥰 Maya war in Ordnung, manche moves die sie gebracht hat waren eher so...naja. Aber war zum Ende hin okay. Mayas Vater war n absoluter L-Take und irrational as fuck. Aber alles fürn Plot I guess. ABER Mayas Großmutter war ein absoluter banger von Side-Character. Die Story rund im Sebastian und Maya war einfach total süß, hat mir minimale Xavier & Sloane vibes gegeben, aber Sebastian hat nochmal ein bisschen draufgesetzt..Aber alle Paare haben ihre eigene Besonderheit.💖 Die anderen King of Sin Pärchen und Christian Harper durften auch hier niemals fehlen - War wieder ein Träumchen. 🧡 Ich kann kaum auf King of Lust warten..Killian hats mir schon echt angetan.👀🤌🏻
Ich hatte mich wirklich so sehr auf Bd. 6, der Kings of Sin Reihe gefreut. Dante Russo aus Band 1 ist einer meiner Top Ten Book boyfriends und ich mochte auch die anderen Bände in der Reihe sehr gerne. Leider hat mich King of Gluttony super enttäuscht. Ich war bis ungefähr zur Hälfte des Buches super gelangweilt und wollte das Buch nicht wirklich in die Hand nehmen. Danach wurde es etwas besser aber ehrlich gesagt hat es das auch nicht mehr rausgerissen. Ich bin so enttäuscht und ärgere mich, dass ich nicht einfach abgebrochen habe.

Ich habe mich so sehr auf dieses Buch gefreut und wurde nicht enttäuscht.🙂↕️ Childhood Rivals to lovers ist ein kompletter Trope im Romance Bereich für mich und ich muss sagen, das sollte es öfter geben.🙌🏽 Die Charaktere kennen sich schon extrem lange, wie z.B. bei Second Chance oder Friends to lovers, aber durch die Rivalität ist es noch mal ganz anders und so erfrischend.🤌🏽 Die größte Überraschung des Buches war definitiv Sebastian Laurent. Ich LIEBE diesen Mann OMG!😮💨 Dieses unfassbar krasse Yearning von ihm… einfach wow🤌🏽❤️🔥 Maya ist selbstbewusst, extrem intelligent, einfühlsam und so eine starke, unterstützende Seele🫰🏽. Sie hat Probleme mit Veränderungen, etwas was ich gut nachvollziehen kann. Der Plot in der zweiten Hälfte des Buches war wild. Alles ab dem Brief war einfach so WOW.🫠 Uuuuund: DAS BUCH HAT KEINEN THIRD ACT BREAK UP🥳🥳🥳.
I loved this book, even though I saw many people hating it. Tes, I understand that there was a lack of real cultural aspects from mayas side but I still enjoyed reading the book. The storyline was great and I love a childhood rivals to lovers story. I’ll have to admit, the rival part was only until 30% of the book and then everything started to go like Sebastian and Maya wanted and they were in relationship. Still I loved how their problems didn’t make them break up and how they worked out all the other problems together. I loved the letter trope in this book and how he was always obsessed and in love with her. I mean she was obsessed with him too but it took her a longggg way until she realized that it was love, that she felt toward Seb. I loved the YEARNING in this book and the characters were well-written. I liked how seb remembered everything about her and how the chocolate strawberry cake and the chocolate milkshake (which were mentioned at the beginning) were a part of his proposal at the very end of the book. I enjoyed the bonus chapter just as much and I loved how we got to see into their honeymoon. I also melted at his reaction about the pregnancy, I just know that they’ll be great parents. I also love how we see all the character from the previous books and mostly the mention of Viv and Dante in this book was great, I love how great of a father and husband he’s become and how they relationship seems for others..
Maya und Sebastian sind seit ihrer gemeinsamen Zeit in einem Schweizer Internat Feinde. Blöd nur dass ihre Familien eng befreundet sind und beschließen gemeinsame Geschäfte zu machen. Und Maya und Sebastian sollen das Projekt gemeinsam leiten... Ich mochte die Art wie sich die beiden gegenseitig geneckt haben sehr gerne. Auch den Einblick in indische Familien fand ich gut. Ein klein wenig hat mir das Prickeln zwischen den beiden gefehlt. Aber alles in allem eine gute Fortsetzung der Reihe.

Die Geschichte von Maya und Sebastian war immer voller Spannung und jedes Mal wenn man dachte es wird entspannt passierte immer wieder etwas Neues. Die Liebe von Sebastian zu Maya ist unbeschreiblich schön und ich werde immer and die beiden denken
I don’t know if I’m in a reading slump or if this book was downright boring and just bad. I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK and it was such a disappointment. I could foresee everything. The letter? The launch disaster? It was all so clear. Like nothing exciting happened. I’m so sad because I usually love everything ana huang writes.

Wie immer hat auch dieser Teil der Reihe nicht enttäuscht. Mir gefällt der Schreibstil der Autorin sehr gut da man nur so durch die Seiten fliegt und die Charaktere immer toll sind. Außerdem hat man die Chemie zwischen den Charakteren wirklich gemerkt und deren Neckereien waren nicht nervig oder dergleichen (was sonst bei anderen Büchern ab einem gewissen Punkt der Fall ist).
