Storytelling in Social Media ist generell ein spannendes Thema, aber dieses Buch war nicht das richtige für mich. Abgesehen davon, dass es mittlerweile natürlich veraltet ist, konnte ich auch nicht viel für mich mitnehmen. Vaynerchuks Stil ist für mich viel zu sehr "punch in the face" - genau das, wovor ich im Marketing zurückschrecke, und wo ich mir durch den Storytelling-Ansatz etwas anderes erhofft hatte. Es gibt viele Beispiele zu den unterschiedlichen Social Media, wie man es als Brand nicht machen sollte, aber wenig handfeste Anleitungen, was denn nun besser wäre. Zudem richtet sich alles ausschließlich auf Brands, wer also keinen Cupcake-Shop hat oder Turnschuhe verkauft, muss noch mehr mitdenken, wie er das auf sich selbst anwenden kann. Da gibt es bessere Bücher oder Online-Ressourcen, die das ganze auch freundlicher verkaufen und ohne dabei in einer Tour Werbung für sich selbst zu machen.
