In the beginning I wasn’t sure about this one, but like half into the story we clicked. I love the supporting friendships - especially the girls supporting girls, because we definitely need more of this type of girl- and sisterhood stories. It’s not us against eachother and fighting for somebodies recognition but us supporting and cheering for our accomplishments! Also loved how Alexa wasn’t scared of her (maybe not so unexpected?) feelings for Charlie, and not turning that into something she hated, but slow but steady embraced. Big love aswell for that beautiful sister-brother relationship between Charlie and Mac, aswell as their good relationship with their dad. (Booooh for the mom tho!) SPOILER: Minor complaint: I feel like we had enough of these stories where they break up in the last couple chapters of the book to have that climax … still it worked out totally fine, because Charlie could realize, that her shitty behavior was kinda similar to her mom’s even shittier behavior.

Dnf @11% Unrealistic cringy dialogue, the writing isn't good, and the audiobook voice acting is atrocious
