Ich kenne bereits die Winter erwacht Reihe und von CL Wilson - Band 1 & 2 waren Highlights von mir in 2025 😍 Daher habe ich mich nun an diese ältere Reihe gewagt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Eine wirklich toll ausgestalte Welt der Fay, Eld und Memschen. Der Slow Butn zwischen Elli und Rain ist wirklich fessenld und prickelnd. An manchen Stellen zieht sich das Buch ein wenig, weil es sehr detailliert und blumig beschrieben wird! Dennoch mag ich es sehr und lese jetzt direkt Band 2 weiter!

Wirklich empfehlenswert. Gerade wenn man das Reich der sieben höfe und throne of Glass mag. Lest es!

Aufmerksam auf C.L. Wilson wurde ich durch die Mystral-Reihe („Der Winter erwacht“ und die Folgebände), die ich Anfang 2019 begeistert gelesen und geliebt habe. Ich warte hier immer noch auf weitere Bände, die Autorin ist dran, aber schon seit einer kleinen Ewigkeit… Jedenfalls habe ich dann erfahren, dass die Tairen Soul Reihe der Autorin noch besser sein soll! Da sie nur noch gebraucht erhältlich ist, habe ich mir die Bücher dann letztes Jahr zusammengesucht und seitdem warten sie auf ihren Einsatz. Und eeeendlich habe ich Band 1 vom SuB befreit! Ich bin mir nach Band 1 schon sicher, es wird eine Herzensreihe von mir werden! Ich liebe den Schreibstil von C.L. Wilson. Direkt auf den ersten Seiten bin ich in das Geschehen eingetaucht. Auch wenn mir die Welt und die Begriffe erst fremd waren, war alles so aufregend, dass die Seiten nur so dahingeflogen sind. Und man lernt ja nach und nach alles. Es wird aus der dritten Person erzählt mit wechselnden Perspektiven. Hauptsächlich natürlich von Ellysetta und Rain, aber es kommen auch andere zu Wort. Auf mich hatte die Geschichte eine Sog-Wirkung. Ich wollte immer mehr erfahren, wissen, wie es weitergeht. Durch die anderen Sichten erlebt man, wie sich die Dunkelheit und Gefahr zusammenbraut und hofft und drückt die Daumen, dass alles gut geht. Ich konnte hier Theorien spinnen und mitfiebern. Die Handlung konnte mich immer wieder überraschen. Besonders gut gefällt mir die Ausgestaltung der Charaktere. Sie sind so lebensecht und lebhaft. Niemand ist flach auf nur eine Ebene beschränkt, die Charaktere sind tiefgründig und vielschichtig. Mit guten und schlechten Eigenschaften. Seien es Rain und Ellie oder auch Bel, die Königin, Ellies Mama – kaum steckt man jemanden in eine Schublade, bricht er durch sein Handeln wieder heraus. C.L. Wilson schafft es zudem, eine prickelnde Erotik zwischen Ellie und Rain zu erschaffen, wobei es nicht wirklich erotische Szenen gibt und die beiden nicht gleich nach ein paar Seiten miteinander im Bett landen. Aber es knistert einfach schön. Ihr hört es, ich bin be-geis-tert! Ich liebe dieses Buch! Und ich kann es kaum erwarten, die vier Folgebände aufzusaugen!

Über dieses Buch hatte ich mich im Vorfeld wohl zu wenig informiert, denn ich erwartete High Fantasy mit einer Liebesgeschichte, die im vordergründig eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Bekommen habe ich allerdings eine Reihe von peinlichen erotischen Szenen, die zwar in einem schönen Schreibstil verfasst sind, mir aber trotzdem viel zu viel waren. Sowohl in der Anzahl der Szenen als auch bezüglich der Handlung. Ich nahm das Ganze mit Humor und beendete das Buch, doch es war leider so überhaupt gar nicht mein Fall. Die Zielgruppe sind wohl eher Leute, die gerne Erotikromane mit Fantasy-Aspekt lesen – also nicht ich. Zwei Sterne vergebe ich trotzdem für den Schreibstil und die Grundidee inkl. Weltgestaltung abseits der Erotik.

Also die ersten Seiten waren etwas mühsam beim lesen, um rein finden hat ein paar Seiten gedauert ! Viele neue Gestalten und Namen - aber....durch die ausführliche Erklärung und Beschreibung hat man nach wenigen Seiten das Gefühl direkt vor Ort zu sein und die Handlungen bewusst wahrzunehmen - eine tolle Geschichte die mich mitreisst und Lust auf Mehr macht!!! Bitte mehr davon...

I read this book last year, but I didn’t have the time and effort to put into reading the whole series, so I decided to put it on stand-by and wait for a more appropriate I my life. And what better time than after a 2 months break from reading because of events in my personal life? I’d already read this book so I knew I loved it but I’m happy I decided to read it again before diving into the rest of the series cause I’d forgotten about a lot of little details. I just love this stories. The series as a whole is probably one of my favorite series of all time now. Elly is refreshing, she’s young but not immature, she doesn’t fight the bond between her and Rain. At least not in the typical tamper-trantrum-throwing I’ve come to expect of some heroines. She has massive power, you can tell from the beginning but she takes everything in stride. I loved Rain too. I loved the fact that he was tortured but not hanged up on what made him so. Also I love the whole Tairen Soul idea; nice twists from werewolves. I took more time to read the series as I would’ve in the past, cause I busy. But also because of the way it’s set up. It’s not hard to read at all or anything it’s just that the story is also told from the villains’ point of view in some parts of the book (sometimes often and sometimes less) but to me reading the parts about the villains setting up the failure of the heroes is hard to read and that’s why it took me a little more time. The world is sensational. I love world building the most in a book, especially fantasy series and this one is so well done, with the Fae culture, the Celierian culture and the Eld, just everything I love. Honestly, go ahead, read this book and the whole series, it’s all awesome

I was hooked from the beginning to end. The fey have been behind the walls for over a thousand years but something is calling rain to leave the fading lands and find his mate. with evil trying to take over win of course it can at least until the next book ;)

Mh, that didn't really feel like an ending at all. More like the middle of a book. Ill have to see if the next one is the second half.

Nope. The magic system and world has a lot of potential and I had high hopes but in the end I was kind of disappointed. Also I’m kind of feeling repulsive of this city where girls have to be pure and their parents wed them to the first guy they see. This whole society (besides the Fey) feels conservative and like a cult. I hated it. Super toxic. The FMC could be so cool but is like a 24 year old girl not woman. I’m so tired of these stories when the FMC are forced to act like damsels all the time. She is SO unsure of everything. There is strength in her but the author is not allowing her one bit to use and own it. The MMC is quite nice and has a great story - a bit too possessive but we get to know why. I liked him and his group of warriors very much. They are the ONLY reason that this is not a 1 star read. The spice was PG13 and not well written - there is probably an increase in the next books but I’m annoyed - in books were I’m not happy with the plot , I at least look forward to the spice - nooooope. Not here. Will I continue? Nope. Would I recommend? Nope. P. S. I’m kind of angry that I did not DNF but I probably clung too hard to that little kernel of hope and my wish for what this story could have been.

REVIEW FÜR TEIL 1 UND 2. ICH HATTE EINE AUSGABE, DIE BEIDE TEILE IN EINEM HATTE. Okay ich mag diese Reihe bis jetzt. Sehr xD Ich bin ein Sucker für Fan, Seelengefährten, Auserwählte, tolle Freundschaften und Plottwist ohne Ende. All das findet man in dieser Reihe. Der Schreibstil ist super leicht und trotzdem schmuckvoll, also perfekt. Genauso LIEBE ich die Charaktere. ( Vor allem Rain xD ) Die Geschichte hat manchmal ihre Längen. Doch die Spannung war trotzdem immer vorhanden. Ich wollte diese Bücher nicht weglegen und kann es nicht erwarten bald Teil 3 zu lesen. Mehr will ich hier auch nicht sagen. ( Lasst euch nicht vor dem englischen Cover abschrecken. Es ist schrecklich hahaha )

I can't remember when I first read this book it was one that I picked up in a bookshop on the off chance that it looked interesting so thought I would give it a go and it started off an obsession with this series and it's creator. It was funny cos as the series progressed what started as a 4 book series turned into a 5 series to finish it off without leaving anything undone I would like to see more or this series and it characters. This book to me is an introduction to the series and weaves a complicated tale but you get lost in story which o was happy about I love the little bit about the stone game there's something in each book that I love Just a darn good book and series 😍
