IDIMT-2004

This annual workshops provide an interdisciplinary forum for exchanging concepts and visions in the area of System Theory and Design, Information Management, Knowledge Management, Business Engineering, Information Technology, and related topics. The increasing importance of information as a vital resource requires considering these topics interdisciplinary and holistically from various standpoints: sociological, technological, commercial, and educational. The international and interdisciplinary setting of IDIMT, especially in view of the cooperation of technical and economic research institutes and of researchers with different economic and historical backgrounds provides a multifaceted view on these topics. The conference will have a main focus in the challenges, advantages and problems brought by the ability to interconnect electronically the society by using cooperative information environments. This year special attention will be given to questions of technology trends, information and knowledge services, as well as educational aspects.
