Description
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is a smallish Viking with a longish name. Hiccup's father is chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe which means Hiccup is the Hope and the Heir to the Hairy Hooligan throne - but most of the time Hiccup feels like a very ordinary boy, finding it hard to be a Hero.
In the first How to Train Your Dragon book Hiccup must lead ten novices in their initiation into the Hairy Hooligan Tribe. They have to train their dragons or be BANISHED from the tribe FOR EVER!
But what if Hiccup's dragon resembles an ickle brown bunny with wings? And has NO TEETH? The Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus is stirring and wants to devour every Viking on the Isle of Berk . . .
Can Hiccup save the tribe - and become a Hero?
How to Train Your Dragon is a major award-winning DreamWorks film series. There is also a new live action movie due to be released in 2025. The TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network.

This book is nothing like the movie, which is what I was expecting going into this. Also I'm clearly not the target audience with all the gross jokes and descriptions. I only fairly enjoyed myself consuming this story because of the absolutely amazing audiobook, which is narrated by David Tennant!!
This is hard, I really want to write the review that this book deservers but I'm gonna try. Let's start like this: I could have read this book a lot faster but I guess I didn't want it to be over jet. And that says a lot about the series because the last time this happened to me was Harry Potter. Of course you can't compare these two series content-wise but my caring and love for the characters were on similar levels. But now for the book itself. First of all the hardcover looks amazing definitely worthy of a last part. And I have to say this right now: THANK THOR FOR THIS CLEVER ENDING!!! and THANK THOR FOR NOT MAKING UP A LOVE INTEREST FOR HICCUP!!! How to Fight a Dragon’s Fury was perfect as it is, an emotional roller-coaster, a struggle, a fight but in the end brilliantly solved for a not-so-happy-end. It was what the characters deserved, and still managed to end on a thoughtful note. Just this week I read about a third HTTYD movie covering the extinction of the dragons. Which proves that even the book-series has ended we will keep hearing from Hiccup, Toothless and all the others because HEROES ARE FOREVER
