There's a killer in Hemlock House . . .
It's been a year since Michael Linden found a dead body in his best friend's pool. Now, the only thing he wants is a stress (and murder) free freshman year. And it's all going to plan, especially as a reunion with his hot ex-girlfriend Greer is on the cards.
That is until they find her roommate dead in their dorm, Hemlock House. Linden knows he should leave it to the police, but when clues point to Greer as the intended target, he decides to investigate. But with nearly everyone on campus hiding something, are some mysteries better left buried . . .?

Could have but didn’t
Hemlock House by Katie Cotugno ⭐️ 3/5 I really wanted to like this one, but it just didn’t work for me. The setup had potential, but the story got lost in way too much personal drama between the characters, which made it feel boring at times. The biggest issue for me: the characters. They were flat and hard to connect with. I couldn’t stand Greer or Michael at all, and when you don’t even like the MC, it’s really hard to enjoy the book. For someone studying at Harvard, the MC came across as surprisingly clueless. His choice of major didn’t make sense, and he seemed to lack even the most basic common sense. Final thought: The idea behind the story could have been good, but with characters this frustrating and little depth to keep me engaged, it just didn’t hit the mark.
