The adventure of the haunted tram car was mediocre at best. The diverse excursions to cultural behaviors made it as foreign as it coule get. The detectice work felt lackluster, it felt like expanding the universe of the first book by adding a minor story to it. Nothing was ever really entertaining or surprising.
Dieses Buch stand schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste - nur schon das Cover packte mich gleich beim ersten Sehen. Doch das Cover ist nichts verglichen mit dem Inhalt! Ich bin noch immer hin und weg. Welch ein Setting! Welch Ideen! Welch Faszination! Einfach unglaublich, was der Autor alles in einen solch kurzen Text packen kann, ohne dass es überladen wirkt. Es passt für mich einfach alles. Die Kriminalhandlung, die Fantasy-Elemente, die sympathischen Figuren und die Bereiche der alternativen Geschichte - gewebt wie ein orientalischer Teppich. Hiervon muss ich einfach noch mehr haben! Der Nachteil einer solchen Lektüre: ich bedauere erneut, dass es bei uns ausser Kepab und Dürüm praktisch kein orientalisches Essen gibt. Es ist zum Davonlaufen!
