Ganz nett, aber keine Gears of War Bombe
Gears of War – Jacinto’s Remnants liefert einen soliden Einblick in die Folgen des zweiten Spiels und besonders was mit Jacinto passiert. Besonders cool fand ich außerdem wie es rückwirkend erklärt, warum damals der Hammer of Dawn eingesetzt wurde. Das gibt endlich etwas Kontext zu einer Entscheidung, die man im Spiel vielleicht eher als „wow, krass“ wahrgenommen hat, ohne groß nachzudenken. Die Story selbst ist in Ordnung, aber ehrlich gesagt hat mich das Buch nicht vom Hocker gehauen. Manche Abschnitte ziehen sich und richtig packende Momente fehlen leider. Für Fans wie mich, die das Universum lieben, ist es eine nette Ergänzung, aber es reicht nicht ganz, um mich komplett zu begeistern.
