Sofia isn't so sure about Fright Night. When she suggested it to her friends, she was only thinking of it as an excuse to get closer to Dylan. Now that it's happening, she's worried that spending the night in a deserted forest is a bad idea.
But it's totally safe--there's even a safe word if things get too intense. And they do. Sofia and her friends are forced to face their greatest fears, and suddenly? It's too late to turn back.

Wow, what a ride. I was picking up this book at my local bookstore because I liked the cover and it looked like a fun ride. However my expectations were quite small because It's YA which I usually don't like and judging on what it's about I didn't expect to love it - I guess I was just curious. I would have never guessed to give this book 5 stars but here we are. Let's go into detail: _SPOILERS_ The writing style was not great. There were some extremely cheesy passages ( like the one where Kelly described the friendship to Sandy). The romance aspect of the book was also something that I didn't enjoy because It was too YA for me ( just a personal taste of course). I'm still quite 50/50 about the "poems" because I guess it's a cool idea but also they weren't well written either. What I loved was the complexity of Kellys and Dylan's Childhood. Mixing the story from today with parts that were set in the past and highlighted Dylan's trauma was so well done and kept me hooked. The more the story unfolded the more I was invested into Dylan's Childhood. That Dylan had a brother was quite the twist that I didn't see coming. I also loved the author's note about their mothers desease and how she talked to a victim that had to live though that to write the book realistically. All in all I was surprised by how much i liked the story.
