Stell dir vor, du lebst in einer lustigen, wenn auch etwas langweiligen, WG in einer schäbigen Kleinstadt, in der seit einem Mord an 5 Teenagern vor 30 Jahren nichts spannendes mehr passiert ist. Dein Leben ist nicht direkt ein Reinfall, aber... naja. Dann steht plötzlich eine Influencerin vor der Tür, meint sie wäre deine neue Mitbewohnerin und versucht diesen scheinbar gelösten Fall von vor 30 Jahren aufzuklären. 12 Monate später reinigst du vollgekotzte Böden in einem Singlehotel auf Mallorca und der einzige Grund, aus dem du in den Ort zurückkehrst, ist, dass diese neue Mitbewohnerin von vor 12 Monaten eine Nachricht schreibt. Obwohl sie tot ist. Und nicht nur irgendeine Nachricht. "Everyone in this groupchat dies." Diese Geschichte ist lustig, spannend und hat großartige Figuren. Allein die WG-Dynamiken 🤣 Und auch der Plot. Ich liebe es, dass man erst im Laufe des Buchs erfährt, wie es dazu kommen konnte und wie es nun weitergeht. Ich habe so mitgefiebert und konnte mich gar nicht entscheiden, auf welche Ereignisse ich am meisten gespannt war: Die der Gegenwart oder die von vor 12 Monaten als alles ins Rollen gekommen ist? Oder die Ereignisse vor 30 Jahren? Der Schreibstil ist sehr humorvoll und die Ich-Erzählerin mir sehr sympathisch, wenn sie auch nicht immer mit klarem Durchblick glänzt. Wenn es gerade mal nicht spannend war, war es immer lustig und zu keinem Zeitpunkt langweilig. Ein absoluter Pageturner! Weil dieses Buch so super leicht und kurzweilig zu lesen war, mich zum Lachen und zum Weinen gebracht hat (lasst euch nicht vom Crowhurst Killer das Herz rausreißen, meine Lieben!) ist es jetzt auf jeden Fall meine neue Lieblings-Murder-Mystery 🕵♀️🔪💀📱❓️📰❤️🩹🐦⬛🩸
suspenseful, easy-to-read thriller with a modern edge
Everyone in the Group Chat was both suspenseful and enjoyable to read. The story pulled me in quickly and kept me interested all the way through. Since much of it revolves around social media, it also feels very timely, which gives the thriller an extra modern edge. Overall, I really enjoyed how quick and engaging it was to read.
