Made me wonder if fujoshis in the middle ages existed but then again they would’ve been burned as witches. Faustus and Mephistopheles certainly show an interesting codependent relationship with great potential to explore. Second half of the book contains good articles on the material, history, thought and stage play. Now onwards to Goethe’s Faust which I refused to read in school. Marlowe’s version is supposedly a lot shorter.
