This book does not develop a universal philosophical hermeneutics of random texts but rather a canon to help the reader to acquire the skills for dealing with the study of philosophical texts and theories of antiquity and the modern era. It is moreover an introduction to the study of philosophy itself, illustrated by many examples from antiquity and the modern era.
