Patrick Modiano, 1945 in Boulogne-Billancourt bei Paris geboren, ist einer der bedeutendsten Schriftsteller der Gegenwart. Er erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, darunter den großen Romanpreis der Académie française, den Prix Goncourt, den Österreichischen Staatspreis für Europäische Literatur und 2014 den Nobelpreis für Literatur. Bei Hanser erschienen unter anderem die Romane Place de l'Étoile (2010), Im Café der verlorenen Jugend (2012), Der Horizont (2013), Gräser der Nacht (2014), Damit du dich im Viertel nicht verirrst (2015), der Prosatext Schlafende Erinnerungen (2018), das Theaterstück Unsere Anfänge im Leben (2018) sowie zuletzt die Romane Unsichtbare Tinte (2021) und Unterwegs nach Chevreuse (2022).

I had a discussion about it with my mom today. For her it was boring, because nothing is happening. Nearly everything happened in the past and he's only reflecting it. But for me it's a great book. It was easy to read, interesting and well written. But I guess without the nobel prize i hadn't read it ever. But I'm happy I did. I really enjoyed it.
