I want to thank Kodansha and NetGalley for this eARC. Here my honest opinion. Two friends, hiking enthusiasts, are blocked by a snowstorm. Convinced that he is about to die, one of the two confesses to the other that he had committed a murder a few years earlier. Unexpectedly, the two manage to reach a refuge, and with the growing hope of being saved, the confession from just before appears like a big mistake. Because we know, two can keep a secret if one is dead. The story at the center of Confession is not new, yet the excellent development keeps the reader captivated by the page, in a crescendo of suspense. The final twist is perfect. Recommend
