Cold Hearted by Leia Stone and Julia Hall is the first book of the Cursed Fae series. Both authors have teamed up before and created the Shadow Angel series - which I really enjoyed. Each book in the Cursed Fae series will be a stand-alone fantasy romance with an HEA. " Ever since the mirror world was created, the queens of Farie began to only give birth to daughters. This unexpected twist leads to an exciting adventure full of new friendships, a sexy romance, and a world full of new wonders. I enjoyed the relationship arc between Dawn and Zander; their enemies-to-lovers journey was beautifully executed and made me laugh multiple times. However, what I appreciated most was Dawn's strength and independence. She didn't need rescuing; she was confident in her abilities and repeatedly demonstrated that she is a formidable fighter. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because some parts felt a bit rushed. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and am eagerly anticipating the sequel, Faint Hearted, which will follow Arabella from the Fall Court.
