Description

- wunderbares 'grim urban setting' mitten in Tokio und Umgebung - genau das richtige Maß für übertriebene Blutbäder, Gemetzel und Kämpfe, die völlig drüber sind - großer Pluspunkt für Genjis süßen 'Teufelshund' Pochita ♥ - Zeichenstil sehr edgy, teilweise sketchy, eher kantig, grimmig, kalt - die "Teufel" als Gegner sind variantenreich, Genjis Perspektive lässt ja zu, dass sich Menschen und Teufel anfreunden und 'verbinden' können - Genji ist am Anfang sehr naiv, gutgläubig, treudoof, leicht beeinflussbar, das wandelt sich gewiss in den späteren Teilen / seine 'hehren' Ziele hoffentlich auch noch... - seine Verwandlung zu und sein Auftreten als Chainsaw Man sind schon ziemlich nice. <: Eins meiner liebsten Panels ist ein Bild von Genji, wie er als Chainsaw Man selbstbewusst-kettensägendmordend über eine Horde Zombies hinwegfegt. Gave it 4 Stars at first but have to edit it down to two, because this was soo dumb. A chainsaw dog morphing into it's owner and hunting demons? Well yeah, this isn't the dumb part. This is the part why every now and then I grab a manga book and want to experience reading mangas. But WHY does it always have to sexualize and objectify women?? The main reason our protagonist want to rescue his new boss/partner is because she allowed him to touch her boobs when the job is done. Yeah, you read that right. And then there is one passage where he doesnt want to cut off someones head because then the blood would spoil all the porn magazines on the floor. What. The. Fuck? Who wrote this? A 13 year old? This isnt even necessary for the Plot or the atmo. F*ck this series. And this is the main reason why mangas have such a bad rep and why people like me really just don't get into this whole thing besides some bezerk, akira or some ghibli stuff. Chainsaw Man, das ist nichts für mich, dachte ich. Doch immer mehr positive Meinungen, auf die ich vertraue sprossen aus dem Boden, meine Neugier wuchs. Ein Dude, der auch irgendwie Kettensäge ist, was soll das denn? Sowas ist nichts für mich, dachte ich. Blutig wird’s auch? Ne, das ist nichts für mich, dachte ich. Tja ganz schön falsch gedacht. Die Story ist in eine düstere Atmosphäre gepackt. Kein Wunder bei dem Leben, in das Denji reingewachsen ist. Seine Träume sind die normalsten und kleinsten Dinge des Lebens. Diese Situationen regen mich zum nachdenken und reflektieren an. Zeitgleich gibt es sehr viel Aktion, Blut und Drama. Außerdem liefer Denjis Art einfach den ein oder anderen Schmunzler auf mein Gesicht. Ich bin noch ganz sprachlos und kann gar nicht im Worte fassen, was ich da gerade gelesen habe
*reread* after so many years this feels nostalgic And it’s even better now that I know what will happen later and how it all connects Chainsaw man is one of those series that you have to give a chance till the end in order to fully grasp the deeper meanings, while it does have all the typical shonen components it is also so artistically beautiful (which can be seen in the anime pretty well if you look at the visual and auditory compositions) So trust me there is a reason behind all of this “fanservice”. Or mostly I guess. But no really the story is good trust me Also I really missed the characters :,)
First manga in like 10 years I think?? I just picked this up at my local bookstore because the cover looked ridiculous and bloody. And that's exactly what this is tbh. Ridiculous and bloody.
