This was dark and a bit twisted. But had me laughing tears and also got me blushing and kicking me feet. Rowan meets Sloane for the first time and is instantly obsessed. And what follows this meet cute are many hilarious pages of that one serial being an absolute simp for that other serial killer. Sloane was an amazing character. She’s a badass woman also known as the Orb Weaver - serial killer killing other serial killers. And even though she’s a tough one, she’s actually shy and has a lot of social anxiety which makes her a fun but also heartbreaking character to read about. But Rowan Kane - the Butcher of Boston is determined to become her friend. And maybe more. It was such a joy to read about her slowly opening up and even though she initially didn’t want him in her life - she kinda doesn’t want him to leave either. They had amazing banter and energy and I had so much fun reading about those two falling for each other and their competition. And the spice…. It’s amazing. And if your saying „Rowan? Like Rowan Whitethorn? The biggest simp for his woman ever? That’s a big name to live up to“ … HE CAN. That man had me grinning and blushing like an idiot. And I’m not exaggerating. I’m in love. This book is a MUST-READ for my dark romance fans that want to read twisted shit, but also want to experience romcom at its best. 5
