About the book
Edgar Rai introduces us to his favourite spots. Whether you want to feel hip, trace the fall-of-the-Wall period, or dance all night to forget the world around you—there is a place for you here. You’ll discover the city as though a good friend was showing it to you, giving you relentlessly honest advice. Berlin isn’t glamorous on the surface. Instead, it is full of big and small wonders to marvel at: from a drink by the espresso-making world champion to the famous statue of Nefertiti, and from dance clubs in former swimming pools to the world’s longest outdoor gallery. Berlin’s got history, a down-to-earth brash charm and a metropolitan versatility. A world-class combination.
