Ein sehr cooler Einblick in die Rogue Gallery von Batman, generell war die Story wirklich spannend, jedoch bin ich nicht der größte Fan vom Artstyle, jedoch muss das jeder selbst entscheiden. Ich kann es wirklich als Einstieg für Batman empfehlen (und ja der 2022 The Batman ist auf jeden Fall davon inspiriert in teilen).
When a cat visits Italy... story: In the third part of Jeph Loeb's and Tim Sale's "Long Halloween"-series the story focuses on Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Upon finding clues about her supposedly real parents Selina travels to Rome together with the Riddler to solve the puzzle of her heritage. All tracks lead her to the Falcone family. Time for the pussy to work her magic! But obstacles are blocking the path. Gotham is never forgotten with Joker poison and Mr. Freeze's gun in the hands of the Italians. What's going on in the mediterranian country? rating: With the new German edition of "Batman: Dark Victory" just around the corner I was more than excited to be able to read "When in Rome". The reader witnesses a less mysterious, more straight forward yet equally engaging adventure as "The Long Halloween". However with the Riddler around luckily there are more than enough puzzles waiting to be solved. Selina can be found in her natural role of feline fatale. Brave, focused, self-confident and sexy. I really liked the (obvious) hints towards her relationship with Batman and the flashback to "Batman: Year One". The villain gallery is huge and really diverse. Many great choices. I loved to see the Riddler return. Combine this intriguing story with the amazing art. Nothing of the charisma of "The Long Halloween" is lost here. Rome at night as never looked better and you gotta love the play with shadows. I really can't get enough of this art style. conclusion: I always wanted to go on a trip together with Catwoman. That's a beautiful and engaging dream coming true. 5/5
