Description

"In the near-future, people use technology to give the illusion of all kinds of body modifications-but some people have "Egan's Syndrome," a highly sensitive immune system that rejects these "mods" and are unable to use them. Those who are affected maintain a "natural" appearance, reliant on cosmetics and hair dye at most to help them play with their looks. Sunati is attracted to Austen the first time she sees her and is drawn to what she assumes is Austen's bravery and confidence to live life unmodded. When Sunati learns the truth, she's still attracted to Austen and asks her on a date. Gradually, their relationship unfolds as they deal with friends, family, and the emotional conflicts that come with every romance. Together, they will learn and grow in a story that reminds us no matter how technology evolves, we will remain ... always human."--Provided by publisher.

This was even better than episode one! I had tears in my eyes the whole time. Some put of joy, some out of sadness. This comic gave me all the feels

Truly amazing! I love, love, LOVE the art so much! I read “Aerial Magic” from walkingnorth first and was already amazed by her artstyle so much, but this is even more beautiful!! It’s probably because the colors are much more radiant, which, of course is understandable, since it’s a sci-fi setting. I totally didn’t mind though! I feel like the bright colors bring the beauty of that artstyte even more to the front, and that’s so coooool!!! I also love the setting a lot. The mods (fashion mods, health mods, etc), the fact that you can go to Mars on a holiday, the lumi-tattoos (I really want one!), the VR games,... everything! Of course, the characters and the story is what kept me going for the most part, but the world-building should be appreciated as well! Though I don’t agree that’s a setting for the 24st century. I believe that might already be how the 22nd century will look like. (Author said in a Q&A that the world is set somewhere in the 24st century, but I don’t agree.) The representation with the characters is amazing tho! We have lesbians, of course, since it’s a GL and they’re the main characters. But there’s also aro-ace, agender, poly, gay (BL parents), and probs some more. Although I’m not very surprised, considering we’re talking about ca 300 years in the future! It would be much more of a surprise, if humans were still against LGBTQ+. (I mean, there will always be homophobes, but I’m not gonna count a tiny part of earth.) So, yeah, it’s nice to read sth were queerness is normalized and there’s no huge coming-out or whatever. That’s a future I’m striving for. ~ Sooooo... enough rambling of mine. If you’ve read my bad review (the review is bad, not the comic!), then you might as well read the webtoon! You won’t be disappointed, I promise you that. And if you don’t like the story or the characters, at least you have gorgeous art to look at, so you don’t lose anything. Plus, it’s free!
