All-Star Superman gilt als moderner Klassiker, aber für mich war es eher eine durchschnittliche Geschichte. Grant Morrison erzählt eine typische Superman-Story, die zwar solide ist, aber keine großen Überraschungen bietet. Die Handlung folgt bekannten Mustern und hat mich nicht so mitgerissen, wie ich es mir erhofft hatte. Frank Quitelys Zeichnungen sind sicherlich Geschmacksache. Während die Figuren gut in Szene gesetzt sind, insbesondere die Gegenüberstellung von Clark Kent und Superman, sind die Hintergründe oft sehr simpel gehalten. Das gibt dem Comic zwar einen klaren Stil, wirkt aber stellenweise etwas leer. Alles in allem ein guter, aber nicht herausragender Superman-Comic. Wer die klassische Interpretation der Figur mag, wird sicher mehr Freude daran haben als ich. 3 Sterne 🦸🏻♂️🦸🏻♂️🦸🏻♂️
