Leider ging aus dem Klappentext nicht hervor, dass die Protagonisten erst 16 Jahre alt sind. Es war eine süße Geschichte, aber ich bin einfach 20 Jahre zu alt, um sehr mit den Charakteren mitzufühlen. Das Ende mochte ich, auch wenn es mir zu plötzlich aufgelöst wurde. Da kam mir die „real-life christmas magic“ zu kurz. Insgesamt hatte das Buch einige inhaltliche Fehler und Widersprüche und das love triangel hat mich ziemlich genervt, ich mag diesen Trope einfach nicht. Die Figuren unternehmen viele weihnachtliche Aktivitäten, aber aufgrund der Kürze des Buchs wurde alles nicht so sehr ausgeschmückt, so dass nicht so sehr Weihnachtsgefühle aufkamen. Für jüngere Leser würde ich das Buch aber empfehlen. Das Englisch ist auch super leicht zu verstehen und der Schreibstil sehr flüssig.
Buch für junge Lesende
Leider hab auch ich das Buch in dem Glauben gekauft, dass es um eine erwachsene Frau geht. Dadurch hatte ich sehr große Probleme mit der Protagonistin zu fühlen. Es wurde im Buch doch schon sehr deutlich, dass sie sehr jung ist. Viel Plot gab es für mich auch nicht, eher nett für zwischendurch.
