He has worked at University of Duhok (Iraq), LMU Munich and Leipzig University (Germany), where he co-founded the Yezidi Studies Center. His research is dedicated to Yezidi history, identity, and heritage, as well as to their persecution, particularly during the genocide perpetrated by the ISIS.
