Das Buch erzählt, wie der Titel schon sagt, von 50 Lügen und wie diese sich auf die Weltgeschichte ausgewirkt haben. Dabei geht es vom Altertum bis in das 20. Jahrhundert. Mir hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen, da die Kapitel kurzweilig sind und interessante Einblicke in die Geschichte geben.

Spannendes Buch über historische Lügen, Manipulationen und deren oft tödliche Folgen. Der einfache Schreibstil macht die vielen Geschichten leicht zugänglich, lässt aber teils wichtige Details und Quellenangaben vermissen. Die kurzen, eingestreuten Exkurse wirken stellenweise unpassend platziert. Trotzdem eine interessante und empfehlenswerte Lektüre für alle, die sich für Geschichte und historische Täuschungen interessieren. Für bessere Verdaubarkeit - nicht alles auf einmal lesen.
