Sicherlich kein literarisches Meisterwerk, aber es hat Spaß gemacht zu lesen, habs in einem halben Tag durchgelesen. Die Charaktere sind super sympathisch und sie lässt einige Handlungsstränge offen, sodass man weiterlesen mag. Dadurch, dass man in diesem Genre selten gute Bücher findet, definitiv eins, das man weiterempfehlen kann bisher.

Wow! Der Anfang ist wirklich sehr sehr nah an Die Schöne und das Biest angelehnt und war dementsprechend wenig überraschend. Aber dieses Buch hat mich total gefesselt, die Protagonistin ist total toll, und ne richtig gute Mischung aus lieb und süß aber auch stark, smart und lässt sich nicht die Butter vom Brot nehmen. Die Charaktere sind alle wirklich toll ausgearbeitet und catchy. Und dieses Ende hat mich doch echt kalt erwischt und ich würde am liebsten sofort weiter lesen! Klare Empfehlung! 🌶⚔🔥

Dem Schreibstil konnte ich gut folgen und er liest sich leicht. Die Story ist die düstere und spicy Variante von „Die Schöne und das Biest“. Klappentext: Als George O’Connell,der Vater der zurückhaltenden Buchhändlerin Rosalina,eines Tages ohne ein Wort des Abschieds aus der kleinen Stadt Orca Grove verschwindet,läuten bei Rosalina sämtliche Alarmglocken.Schließlich konnte ihr Vater nie akzeptieren,dass seine Frau ihn vor Jahren verlassen hat.Ganz im Gegenteil:Er ist überzeugt davon,dass sie von Fae entführt wurde,was ihm in Orca Grove den Ruf eines Spinners eingebracht hat. Als sich Rosalina auf die Suche nach George macht,führt sie seine Spur tief in den Wald,und ehe sie sichs versieht,befindet sie sich in einem verwunschenen Tal.Ihr Vater hatte recht,die Fae gibt es wirklich.Und sie sind eiskalt und grausam,bildschön und gefährlich erotisch … Fazit: Die Parallelen zu „Die Schöne und das Biest“ sind stark da und ich mochte sie sehr gern.Ich bin gut in die Story reingekommen und war mehr als gespannt. Rosalina hat leider bis auf ihre Liebe zu ihrem Vater und Büchern nicht viel mit Belle gemeinsam.Ich empfand sie als ziemlich naiv. Die 4 Fae Prinzen waren gut differenziert - smart,düster,flirty und schüchtern,aber leider auch absolut toxisch. Am interessantesten fand ich tatsächlich den Bösewicht(Prinz der Dornen). Der Spice war leider oft Fehl an Platz.Die „Aktivitäten“ der Prinzen untereinander habe ich nur grob überflogen.Der ReverseHarem Trope ist nicht meins. Leider konnte das Buch mich nicht begeistern und ich werde die Reihe nicht weiter verfolgen. 🥀Mögt ihr Reverse Harem-Vibes?🥀 Leseempfehlung:⭐️⭐️/von 5⭐️

Listened to the audiobook which is probably why everything was even more spicy :D The spice is 1000/1000🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I really like these fae princes - I think it’s a great mixture of characters. The world is interesting and not too complicated. My “problem” is the FMC - she’s the sunshine kind of girl and is saved too many times by the men surrounding her. This is just not my kind of FMC but I really liked the audio book anyway. Therefore not a 5 star rating. But this is just my taste. I liked her, but she’s just not my kind of FMC. I already started the 2. book and I’m kind of excited with how many people she’ll end up - hehe 🤌🫶 This whole “who will be and who not” - is the motor of the whole story anyway. It’s nice to listen to - not a lot happens - a beauty and beast retelling at its core - but one should and could try. All in all it’s the spice and these fae princes for me- woaaah. So we will see. Would recommend to try - especially when you’ve never read a why choose/ reverse harem. Makes you giggle and grin a lot.

Ich weiß nicht was es war, aber es hat mich so gehooked. War jetzt nicht sonderlich gut geschrieben, aber ich war SO INTO IT! UND DAS ENDE?? HÄ? ich wollte doch nur ein Happy End :( Teil 2 ist jetzt ein Muss für mich geworden 💀

Das Buch ist weder besonders spannend (gefühlt kein Plot, nur Vibes) noch besonders toll geschrieben, neuartig oder sonst etwas in der Art, aber es ist einfach entertaining. Sehr intensiver Spice (auch MM) der glaube ich nicht für jeden etwas ist, ich bin mir da auch noch nicht so ganz sicher 😅 Ich fand vor allem die Dynamiken zwischen den sehr unterschiedlichen Charakteren irgendwie interessant auch wenn sich schon vieles schnell auf die körperliche Ebene bezieht. Rosalina ist auch mal eine andere Protagonistin (groß, nicht super schlank, keine ausgebildete/geborene Kämpferin aber trotzdem mutig), was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Es lassen sich schon ein paar klassische Fantasy Plot Twists bzw. Story Lines erahnen, das stört mich aber eigentlich nicht wirklich. Ansonsten ist die Story schon stark an die Schöne und das Biest angelehnt glaube ich, bin jetzt aber kein großer Kenner oder Fan, deshalb stört mich das nicht. Einfach ein sehr unterhaltsames spicy Guilty Pleasure Buch, das bei mir eine ähnliche Stellung zu Zodiac Academy einnimmt (obwohl die beiden sich eigentlich garnicht mal so doll ähneln). Freue mich schon auf das zweite Buch, vor allem da dieser Teil schon etwas fies geendet hat. Die Thematisierung ihrer vergangenen, missbräuchlichen Beziehung fand ich auch gut umgesetzt, ich hoffe dazu kommt in Zukunft noch mehr. Kleiner Side Fact übrigens, ich bin Vegetarierin und fand es sehr angenehm in diesem Buch bei Beschreibungen von Essen mal nichts über Fleisch lesen zu müssen. Auch wenn es dort nie konkret thematisiert wurde gab's bei den Prinzen immer nur Gemüse, Gebäck usw. zu Essen, fand ich sehr cool :)

Ganz unterhaltsam, wenn man es nicht zu ernst nimmt. Konnte daher viel lachen und bin schnell durchgeflogen. Wurde auch spannend und ich werde den nächsten Teil auch lesen, um zu wissen, wie es weitergeht.

Beauty and the Beast in VERY SPICY und mit gleich vier biestern...

Vier Prinzen, ein Bücherwurm und ein Schurke. Das Buch ist wirklich sehr gut und ich habe es absolut verschlungen. Ich musste sofort den zweiten Band nehmen, denn ich werde hier nicht aufhören. Ich muss sofort wissen wie es weiter geht! Es erinnert mich auch etwas an ACOTAR, ich muss aber sagen ich finde den ersten Teil hier viel besser. Urban Fantasy x High Fantasy, da es eine zweite Welt neben der modernen gibt. Ein must read für Fantasy Reverse Haren fans 😍

Beauty and the Beast retelling Reverse Harem (ich denke, dass es darauf hinauslaufen wird) Lässt sich super schnell lesen und irgendwie konnte ich das Buch heute nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Zugegeben, das Buch erfindet nichts neu. Hat man alles so schonmal gesehen und gelesen, und jeder wird seine liebsten Tropes hier finden. Die Charaktere folgen auch brav ihren Klischees , aber hey, es macht Spaß und ich hatte bei diesem Buch definitiv nicht den Anspruch, großartig überrascht zu werden. Tatsächlich war mein liebster Love interest nicht der mysteriöse, wortkarge Blondschopf, sondern das genaue Gegenteil. Aber die Reihe ist noch jung, hab das Gefühl, dass da noch jemand anderes den ersten Platz übernehmen wird, von dem man nicht so viel mitbekommen hat ;) Enemies to Lovers wird für die folgenden Bücher auch angeteast und ich bin definitiv offen dafür.

Sign me up for yet another Beauty and the Beast retelling! I think this is a 4,5. I really really really love this book. In the beginning I was kind of torn about Rosalina as the female lead because I felt like she was descripted as extemly naive and I was kind of unnerved by that. But after the story really picked up I could oversee that. She surely isn't the strongest female main character out there but I can live with that. What I can't live with is the cliffhanger! I absolutely hate that I have to wait before continuing the story. The release of book 2 is only a couple of days away but after that I will have to wait a whole damn year for book 3 and that's gonna be torture. I'm not looking forward to that.

Das Buch hat mich wirklich sehr überrascht. Es war wirklich einfach zu lesen, der Schreibstil sehr angenehm, man flog förmlich durch die Seiten. Bin gespannt wie es weiter geht 😄

Herrliches Guilty-Pleasure! Man darf diese Geschichte wirklich nicht zu ernst nehmen. Es fühlt sich teils nach einer Parodie an, macht aber trotzdem irgendwie Spaß mit den verzauberten grumpy mysteriösen Fae-Prinzen, dem Schloss und dem undurchschaubaren (aber heißen) Bösewicht.

Wtf was this book. It wasn’t well written but I was so entertained. I will probably read all of them but just because it’s entertaining, not because it’s good.

„Bonded by Thorns“ was my first „why choose?“ novel ever and I really didn‘t expect to like it THAT much. It is a really creative retelling of beauty and the beast(s), the worldbuilding is great and the overall plot wasn‘t predictable at all, even though I‘ve seen the Disney movie probably 50 times. There is (surprisingly) not a lot of smut, but I didn’t feel like it was missing or like I missed out on something. We got some amazing spicy m/m scenes but overall the focus is on the emotional realationship between Rose and the princes. They all have very distinct personalitys, problems and goals and very different realationships with Rose. I didn‘t catch myself rooting for one prince and could complelty understand why she grew to like all of them as she did. Until the very last pages I didn‘t understand the „evil masterplan“ of the prince of thorns (because it‘s still a mystery, not because I‘m stupid, okay?) and I am SO curious how this story will develop. OH YEAH AND COMPLETELY HEARTBROKEN because that ending was fucking brutal and THAT cliffhanger should be considered as a crime. I hope to read more of the two sisters aka Elizabeth Helen and I want to add that I absolutely LOVED the spotify playlist and the spicy bonus chapter at the end. ✨

4/5⭐️ Ach ja, Beauty and the Beast Retellings. Ich bekomme davon einfach nicht genug. Ich glaube ich habe noch nie ein Buch mit diesem Trope gelesen, was ich nicht mochte. Dieses hier hatte die Besonderheit, dass es sich um ein Reverse Harem gehandelt hat. Generell orientiert sich die Geschichte jedoch viel an anderen Geschichten des Genres. Sei es das Original-Mädchen oder beispielsweise ACOTAR, für Fans von beidem ist auf jeden Fall etwas dabei. Die Protagonistin Rosalina war eine sehr intelligente und weltoffene Charakterin. Sie hat einen sturen Kopf und es macht sehr viel Spaß ihr in der Geschichte zu folgen. Wobei ich dazu sagen muss, dass die POV der Prinzen auch fesselnd geschrieben war. Keldarion, Ezryn, Dayton und Farron sind alle sehr unterschiedlich. Auch hier folgen die Autorinnen bekannten Mustern, was die Charakterisierung anbelangt. Der Verschlossene, der Unscheinbare, der Draufmacher und der Sensible. Ich liebe es Bücher zu lesen, in denen so viele unterschiedliche Charaktere vorkommen. Und ein guter Bösewicht hat die Geschichte auch. „Bondes by thorns“ ist der erste Teil einer Reihe. In diesem Teil wird sich sehr auf die Geschichte und das Worldbuilding konzentriert. Jedoch war eben genau das Worldbuilding das, was mir in dem Buch so gut gefallen hat. Romance tritt noch etwas kürzer, was sich aber vermutlich noch ändern wird. Ich freue mich darauf, denn ich mag die Chemie zwischen den Charakteren. Man wird in der Geschichte nicht überrascht, jedoch packt einen die Story einfach doch. Ich mag die Charaktere, die Geschichte ist spannend und das Ende macht Lust auf mehr. Ich kann euch das Buch echt empfehlen.
