I was excited for a dragon shifter romance, but unfortunately Twilight of Embers didn’t land for me. The dragon shifter fantasy element was probably the best part of the story and what kept me reading.  That said, the why-choose trope with multiple guys felt overwhelming rather than intriguing, and it often just read as insta-love without much depth or real chemistry between the characters.  I usually enjoy reverse harem when it’s done with some nuance, but here it leaned heavily on cliché and quick attraction that didn’t feel earned.  A lot of the writing came off as cringe-inducing at times — awkward dialogue, repetitive emotional beats, and situations that didn’t feel natural, which made it hard to fully invest in the story or care about the relationships.  Overall, while the concept had potential, I didn’t enjoy the execution and it wasn’t for me. If you’re into fast-paced paranormal romance with a big cast of love interests, other readers seem to enjoy it more, but personally I’d only give it 2 stars.

Normalerweise ist Reverse Harem gar nicht mein Trope. Ich begann dieses Buch ohne wirklich zu wissen um was es geht, aber ich konnte es nicht abbrechen. Es war wirklich gut. Ich habe es genossen die männlichen Protagonisten immer mehr kennen zu lernen und herauszufinden, wer sie sind. Und diese Stimme im Hörbuch war wirklich gut zuzuhören 🤭 Hayden, die Protagonistin war mir fast zu schwach und zu verletzlich. Ebenfalls fand ich sie relativ flach. Ich mag starke Frauen in Büchern einfach mehr als die, die ständig verletzt und krank sind. Aber sonst ein gutes Buch. Werde es weiter lesen.

I didn’t know what kind of book this would be, only had a slight idea. Started reading the test version and liked it too much to stop, so I got the whole book. It’s easygoing, has a little bit of Twilight. The style is foreseeable, Girl lost parents, feels lonely, joins academy and meets the most handsome and wanted guy on campus. He immediately feels a pull towards her. Can’t have other guys touch her. Also his brothers feel her pull. Though everything happens as foreseen, it didn’t get old to me, the story was enticing and had the perfect amount of spice and also a few spicy surprises.

Ich habe Twillight of Embers (the dragon of Hollow Embers) den ersten Band der Dialoge von Tessa Hale gelesen!Und wurde von der Seite an in den Bann gezogen. Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist so flüssig und mitreißend das ich das Buch in nur zwei Tagen verschlungen habe! Zur Story Hayden s Eltern werden von einer mysteriösen Person ermordet und sie wächst bei einer Pflegefamilie auf! Als Sie aufs College geht hat sie eine folgenschwere Begegnung mit Knox Knox ist ein attraktiver Student im höheren Semester und allseits von den Studentinnen begehrt!Durch ihn lernt Hayden seine"Brüder"Maddox,Càel,,Easton und Cillian kennen!Von nun an ändert sich Hayden s Leben ,es wird geheimnisvolle und turbulent!Es überschlagen sich die Ereignisse und sie muss mit vielen Veränderungen und Offenbarungen fertig werden!Da sie ihren bisherige Leben völlig auf den Kopf stellt und total ändert! Hayden ist eine liebevolle Protagonisten die man sofort ins Herz schließt und man mit ihr fühlt und leidet. Auch die anderen Protagonisten sind sehr sympathisch wodurch man auch mit Ihnen ihre Gefühle teilt! Durch die lebendige magisch spannende Erzählung der Autorin hatte ich das Gefühl mittendrin im Geschehen zu sein! Bin schon richtig gespannt wie es weitergeht! Wer spannende magische ,romatische und ein spicy Geschichte mit Drachen liebt ! Dann solltet ihr es unbedingt lesen!
MY FIRST EVER TESSA HALE BOOK AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I AM OBSESSED. I somehow was not at all bothered by the pacing of it all. I loved the style of how it was written. The fmc was surprisingly not at all insufferable. Every time these men demand that she eats something kicks me in the feels so hard. There's just something so primal and attractive with demanding someone to fulfill their own basic needs, lol. I don't know, maybe my head's fucked up that way. That ending, ugh. I loved the fight leading up towards Hayden jumping in front of Easton. Their tug and pull was so frustrating, yet I can't get enough of them both being in the same room together. If this series turns out to be smashing, I will be collecting her books like freaking trophies.
