Eine wunderschöne, herzzerreißende Geschichte, die ich so schnell nicht vergessen werde
Diese Buch lag bestimmt fast ein Jahr bei mir rum und jetzt habe ich es in knapp einer Woche inhaliert. Hanne und Thea, das Dorf Kay, die Kristi und das Meer und die australische Landschaft haben mich einfach nicht losgelassen. Eine wunderschöne Liebesgeschichte mit Charakteren, die sich wie gute Freunde, anfühlen, die man schon sein Leben lang kennt und einer Wendung ab der Hälfte des Buches, mit der ich nicht gerechnet habe. Mein Herz ist nach dem lesen unglaublich voll und extrem schwer, ich weiß gar nicht wohin mit mir, aber ich glaube, dass auch genauso sein muss. 4/5 Sternen, weil ich die Geschichte, die sich ohne die Wendung abgespielt hätte und mit der ich gerechnet habe, auch unglaublich gerne gelesen hätte. Ich werde noch lange an Hanne und Thea denken ❤️

I cannot thank Hannah Kent enough for writing this fantastic, wonderful, out of the world novel. It breaks your heart in such enticing manner that you wonder how you could have ever been complete without knowing this story. And then it mends it with a tenderness so brutal it leaves you crying from the core of your soul.
