Die Schwestern Tasha und Alice wechseln für eine Woche ihr Leben. Tasha verbringt mit ihrem Mann Aaron eine Woche in dem Apartment von Alice in Venice ihren Urlaub und Alice passt auf die Kinder von Tasha zusammen mit ihrem Mann Kyle auf. Doch kurz nachdem Tasha und Aaron in Venice gelandet sind, werden Alice und Kyle angegriffen. Alice ist schwer verletzt, Kyle is tot. Kurz darauf erhält Tasha eine Notiz, die besagt, dass nicht Aaron und Alice das Ziel waren, sondern Tasha... Es war so so gut. Ich habe das Buch innerhalb vier Tagen verschlungen. Bei jedem Kapitelende gibt es eigentlich ein spannendes Ende und man möchte sofort weiterlesen. Ich liebe den Schreibstil von Claire Douglas und möchte mir nun definitiv auch weitere Bücher von ihr kaufen! Wenn ihr also auf der Suche nach einem spannenden Krimi seid, ist das Buch perfekt für euch. :) Auch wenn ihr eine Vermutung habt wie ihr denkt was passiert ist oder wie es sein könnte, kann ich euch versichern: Es kam alles nochmal viel anders, als erwartet... Große Empfehlung!!
Great and Twisty
I really enjoyed this one! I liked the writing style, the twists, and how it kept me turning the pages. The characters felt very real, especially with their relatable everyday struggles like juggling kids, family routines, relationship tensions and success pressure. I also appreciated that the final twist wasn’t easy to predict - it kept me guessing right up until the end. Overall, a really good and engaging thriller!
