Wir begegnen Everly und Declan. Sie möchte ihren Vater besser kennenlernen und zieht dafür aus ihrer Heimatstadt. An ihrem ersten Arbeitstag begegnet sie Declan. Super hot, NFL Spieler und Geschäftspartner ihres Dads. Als ihr Vater plötzlich verstirbt, tritt das absolute Chaos aus. In seinem Testament steht, Everly soll Declan heiraten, damit dieser sein Geschäft nicht verliert und ihre Mutter ihr Yogastudio behalten kann. Denn das gehört auf dem Papier auch Everlys Vater. (Spoiler möglich!) Puh was soll ich sagen. Ich liebe Declan. Er hat das perfekte husband material und ist wirklich zu 100% eine green flag. Auch Everly mochte ich wirklich sehr. Sie ist absolut sympathisch, ehrlich und eine starke Protagonistin. Allerdings hasse ich diesen miscommunication trope. Es wird ständig aneinander vorbei geredet oder überhaupt nicht geredet. Die beiden waren von Anfang an eigentlich super stark und ich hätte mir nur ein einziges mal gewünscht, dass die beiden sich mal hinsetzen und einfach reden. Naja am Ende wurde ja dann doch noch geredet. Die spice Szenen waren für ein romance Buch auch sehr spicy. Alles in allem nette Story, allerdings auch nichts besonderes. Ich bin trotzdem gespannt auf die restliche Reihe.
