Dexter hasn't killed in months and is getting twitchy. To throw Doakes off his scent, he's spending more time with Rita, his girlfriend. But no matter how many cosy nights they spend in front of the TV, Doakes is still watching.
Then a body turns up, horribly mutilated and barely alive. To trap the torturer, Doakes and Dexter will have to work together, if they can trust each other. It's a devil's pact and one of them will have to be the bait . . .

Teil 2 ist noch besser als Teil 1
... und wahnsinnig lustig. Ich liebe diese Reihe einfach, obwohl Teil 2 schon mehr von der Serie abweicht. Ich habe jeden Protagonisten anhand der Serie in Erinnerung, was es noch besser macht. Man muss die Bücher unbedingt nach der Serie gucken! Der trockene Humor von Dexter lässt mich ständig laut auflachen und ich kann nicht genug von der Reihe bekommen. 5 🌟 und direkt zu Band 3
Dexter und Doakes müssen zusammenarbeiten, denn ein ein Doktor tauft auf, welcher seine Opfer lebend und ohne Gliedmaßen zurück lässt.
Es war wieder ein tolles Buch zum Lesen. Der Schreibstift des Autors ist für mich einzigartig. Immer wieder wird Humor in verschiedenen Szenen eingearbeitet, was das dunkle Thema ein bisschen leichter macht. Die Handlung war sehr spannend, bis zur letzten Seite hin. Dadurch finde ich, ist das Ende ein bisschen zu kurz gekommen. Beim ersten Buch der Reihe fand ich das Ende noch ein bisschen besser als in diesem Buch. Die Handlung des Buches hat kaum etwas mit der Serie zu tun. Deswegen fand ich es so erfrischend, das Buch zu lesen. Ich bin gespannt, wie der dritte Teil weitergeht.
