Das Rad dreht sich
High Fantasy wie sie sein muss. Inzwischen sind mir alle Hauptcharaktere ans Herz gewachsen, es gibt einen, den ich besonders mag (Mat Cauthon). Und auch die Liebeshandlung geht voran. Hier finde ich besonders die Geschichte von Nynaeve und Lan interessant. Und natürlich gibt es auch wieder große Action zum Ende des Buches. Der nächste Band liegt schon bereit. 😊
A Cown of Swords hat mir wieder besser gefallen als die beiden Vorgängerbände, in denen es sich irgendwie etwas gezogen hat. Hier geht es nun in einen Handlungen und vor allem bei einigen Charakteren innerlich endlich voran! Es ist immer noch hilarious, wie die zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen beschrieben sind, vor allem [Spoiler] als Rand nach der ersten Nacht mit Min glaubt, dass er sich ihr aufgezwungen hat und seine Pflichten als wiedergeborener Drache vollkommen vernachlässigt, weil er sich ein paar Tage deswegen selbst kasteit. Mat bekommt seine eigene Medizin zu schmecken. Nynaeve und Elayne finden endlich, wonach sie lange suchen, und noch ein paar mehr Überraschungen unterwegs. Nynaeve findet sogar noch mehr und wird endlich ein lästiges Übel los. Wieder ein Forsaken weniger und ein paar neue Verbündete für Rand. Und während die Aiel diesmal nicht so prominent im Vordergrund stehen, gibt es mit dem Sea Folk und den Kin zwei interessante neue Gruppierungen. Auch fehlt keiner der Charaktere wirklich, auch wenn Perrin und Egwene nur sehr kurz vorkommen, so ist es doch kein gesamter Band ohne sie. Alles in allem etwas kurzweiliger und spannender, ich hoffe, dass die Reihe so bleibt.
Die Reihe ist recht komplex. Handlungsstränge die in früheren Bänden ihren Anfang hatten und dann gar nicht mehr erwähnt wurden, werden plötzlich wieder weiter geführt. Ich bin froh, dass ich die Bücher ohne große Pause zwischen ihnen lese und mir ein paar Notizen mache, sonst würde ich den Überblick total verlieren.
